Location: Oak Ridge, TN Job Title: Production Control Analyst Career Level From: Associate Career Level To: Senior Specialist Organization: Enterprise Plng & Controls (50993945) Job Specialty: Production Control What You'll Do This position is responsible for the monitoring, configuration control, analysis, and reporting on programmatic scopes in support of Stockpile Programs, Infrastructure Programs and Global Security and Strategic Partnership Programs Control, direct, and expedite the flow of materials, parts, tooling and assemblies through the manufacturing, inspection, testing and certification processes Integrate production activities across organizational boundaries to ensure schedules are met and that issues are resolved Responsible for controlling the flow of all certification documents and ensuring the timely resolution of rejected parts and assemblies through the rework or deviation process Evaluate the production schedule status and attend Plan of the Day meetings to ensure accurate prioritization of production activities is communicated Ensure that manufacturing and quality areas understand due dates and status Recommend recovery actions as required to meet schedule commitments Highlight production issues to program management to ensure manufacturing goals are not jeopardized Work with Transportation Planners to ensure materials, parts and assemblies are delivered to the shipping point in time to meet all planned shipments Utilize the productivity improvement process or other improvement methodologies such as flow diagrams to identify and eliminate non-value-added steps Maintain programmatic and departmental performance metrics, monitor trends, and make recommendations for improvements What You Can Expect Meaningful work and unique opportunities to support missions vital to national and global security Top-notch, dedicated colleagues Generous pay and benefits with a stable organization Career advancement and professional development programs Work-life balance fostered through flexible work options and wellness initiatives Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree Preferred Job Requirements Why Y-12? Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required. This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination. This position may be categorized as a "designated position" identified by 10 C.F.R.
