SUMMARY Operate lift truck to move compound and extruded moulding between production area and staging areas while supplying production area with needed materials. Lift truck operators must complete the Company's lift truck training within one month of accepting the position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: *Move compound hoppers from staging area to production area and place on blending towers. *Move empty and partial hoppers from production area to staging area.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lift truck and material handling experience including counting material and entering data into computer system preferred.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Count and enter data into computer system.
Communicate in writing and orally with supervisor, lead, and other employees. Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and occasionally is required to walk or stand. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger to handle tools or controls and handle material. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, and is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Eye and hearing protection is required at all times in the plastics production area. Hand protection is occasionally required.
