Position Description

Your Opportunity

You will serve as a full-time Program Analyst supporting NA-192. You will support the Assistant Deputy Administrator (ADA) and Deputy Assistant Deputy Administrator (DADA). You will work primarily onsite at the DOE (Department of Energy)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Forrestal Building, with some flexibility to work remotely (3 days in office weekly and 2 days remotely).

What You Will Do


  • Support the Assistant Deputy Administrator (ADA)/Deputy Assistant Deputy Administrator (DADA) and Program Office in meetings with senior officials from Defense Programs, NNSA, and other agencies, through the preparation of deliverables such as talking points, recording of minutes and action items as appropriate, and monitoring and coordination of any after action deliverables and relevant documentation.
  • Facilitate ADA/DADA participation in high-level engagements such as site visits, conferences, and meetings through leading the coordination of preparatory materials, ensuring appropriate administrative actions, and providing in person support.
  • Provide oversight of and guidance to program analyst team including coordinating tasks and deliverables between staff, training new staff, and serving as liaison to NA-19 senior leadership.
  • Lead regular internal in-person meetings and oversee daily/weekly activities and businesses processes essential to front office functions.
  • Attend in person meetings, such as program reviews and classified technical discussions, on behalf of NA-19 leadership, to maintain up-to-date awareness of key issue areas and convey leadership direction.
  • Supervise the revision and analysis of program documents for adequacy of scope, depth, and technical content and evaluate for conformance to DOE/NNSA policy and guidelines. Coordinate the review and analysis with technical experts and makes recommendations for additions and improvements.
  • Maintain current awareness of NNSA office structure and leadership, federal managers, contractor and site roles, and technical/programmatic requirements, issues, and status to assist ADA/DADA.
  • Lead or assist in leading special technical projects, such as task forces or independent review teams on behalf of the ADA/DADA.

What You Will Need


  • Active DOE Q clearance.
  • 3 - 5 years of federal government project analysis/management work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in policy or a similar field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and highly motivated.
  • Ability to travel 15 - 20%.
