Job Description:

Position Title: Master Electrician

Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group - Heil Environmental

Location: Fort Payne, AL

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Department: Maintenance

Shift: 1st shift

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee electrical installations, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain the highest standards of workmanship.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee all electric and power installations in collaboration with project managers and other engineering professionals.
• Ensure all electrical work performed complies with the national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues promptly.
• Maintain records of all electrical equipment and ensure regular maintenance.
• Provide leadership and training to junior electricians and apprentices.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage supplies inventory to ensure timely availability of materials.

Requirements:

• Valid Master Electrician's license in Alabama.
• Minimum5years of experience in electrical projects within the Manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and building codes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proven leadership skills and experience in team management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• A commitment to ethical conduct and safety.

Additional Requirements:

Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge: Requires ability to understand general arithmetic; ability to write in an understandable manner; understand verbal or written instructions; ability to read and understand instructions, lists and billing materials; use PC based applications, including Outlook, and Microsoft Office, knowledge normally acquired through high school or equivalent experience.

Mental: Requires normal attention with periods of high concentration intermittently to operate machinery approximately 50% of time.

Physical: Requires walking/standing approximately 70%, lifting up to 40 pounds approximately 15% of time; involves repetitive overhead work approximately 10% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 5% of time.

Manual Dexterity: Requires use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate all manufacturing equipment, meters, chains hoists, automatic drills, and general hand tools and to record written information.

Audible Demands: Requires ability to follow verbal instructions and to hear for safety purposes.

Visual: Requires the ability to visually observe essential functions for satisfactory job performance and safety; color and depth perception required.

Environmental: Involves exposure to plant environments with the presence of dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control.
