Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and at least 5 years of comparable experience in creating and maintaining enterprise systems.
  • Higher education and/or accounting support experience
  • Experience working with technical teams, functional experts, and end users
  • System administrator experience for Windows or Linux
  • Experience with SQL Server, Visual Studio, VB .Net, and reporting/query/analytic tools (ex: SSRS, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos)
  • Proven experience managing critical projects and/or platforms

Position Summary
The Lead Software Administrator for Auxiliary Services manages and supports the efforts of the Auxiliary Information Technology department to ensure integrity, availability, and analysis of T2 PCI-related software, point-of-sale systems, and PCI Compliance of Auxiliary technology to improve and enhance Auxiliary Services' ability to provide and deliver services to the University community. This position works to strategically plan, implement, and execute the delivery of concepts and initiatives established by the Auxiliary IT Director. Provide supervisory and technical leadership to develop, maintain, and implement centralized databases and administration functions of Point of Sale Systems, PCI Compliance, Meal Plan Portal, and the Atrium Campus Card System as well as software administration of Auxiliary Services applications and coordination of installation and configuration support of Auxiliary-specific systems related to T2 PCI related software, Atrium Campus, Point of Sale Systems, PCI Compliance and Meal Plan Portal and other systems in Auxiliary Services.

Operational Oversight:
* Manage all aspects of T2 PCI related software, Point of Sale Systems, Meal Plan Portal, Atrium Campus Card System and PCI Compliance areas and the use of technology within multiple business areas within Auxiliary Services to guide on executing and implementing project initiatives as directed by the Auxiliary IT Director.
* Coordinate technology efforts among Auxiliary Software Systems and Support Teams and manage various operations resources, including equipment, technical systems, and software applications.
* PCI compliance - work as a liaison with the university credit card coordinator to ensure PCI compliance of Auxiliary units.
* Facilitate Infrastructure Systems and Security architecture standardization across all business units related to T2 PCI related Software, Point of Sale Systems, PCI Compliance, Meal Plan Portal and the Atrium Campus Card System.

* Guides development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic and tactical plans related to T2 PCI related software, Point of Sale Systems, PCI Compliance, Meal Plan Portal and the Atrium Campus Card System Software Systems and Support Teams.
* Oversee, assess, and coordinate the Software Systems and Support Teams staff' responses to support requests based on their skill level and the nature of the requests to ensure client inquiries are resolved promptly.
* Assist unit managers with the analysis of IT-related business application problems.
* Facilitate cross-training among IT staff across departmental units.
* Lead and participate in project teams, providing technical guidance, architecture, and support to ensure project success.

* Stay current on technology developments within the information technology industry and the industries of Auxiliary Services' business units, and make recommendations based on industry best practices and new technologies that might benefit our business operations.

* Analyze data and provide reports and metrics as needed.
* Propose and plan project tasks by applying knowledge of networking, storage, systems configuration, and research in new technologies and techniques.
* Work with others throughout Auxiliary Services and Auxiliary IT to document systems and procedures and revise documentation as necessary.
* Document DR processes used by Auxiliary applications for T2, Point of Sale Systems, PCI Compliance, Meal Plan Portal and the Atrium Campus Card System
