Medical Scribe - PRN

Mercy Primary Care Clinic is seeking a PRN Medical Scribe to join our team.

OVERVIEW:

The Medical Scribe works to facilitate patient flow through the Medical Office by assisting attending Provider through accurate and complete medical record entry into the Electronic Medical Record for each patient. The Medical Scribe will accompany the Provider while he/she conducts the exam and record patient history, demographics, exam details, and notes into the EMR. Medical Scribe performs billing duties as directed by operations manager.

• Clinic Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma with additional education in Health Studies.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in Medical Office setting. Sufficient knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with coding and medical abbreviations.
• Preferred Experience: Previous medical scribe experience strong preferred. Ability to remain on task and meet time lines. High attention to detail essential in order to be successful in role.
