This position includes developing and teaching a seminar course (Cluster 73CW) for freshman students with varied backgrounds. The seminar should cover a topic related to understanding the brain, memory, learning, consciousness, mental illness, and disability through disciplines such as disability studies, literary and film analysis, neurobiology, philosophy, and psychology. UCLA has a diverse student population in one of the more diverse cities in the nation; we particularly seek candidates who have taught similarly diverse students in a major research university.
