Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. In the role of Texas Funding Practice Lead, we will count on you to:
- Provide information and assistance on the use of various state and federal grant and loan programs (e.g., State Revolving Loan Fund or equivalent, Community Development Block Grant Program, Economic Development Administration, US Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, USDA Rural Development, FEMA grant programs, TWDB Flood Infrastructure Funding, Bureau of Reclamation, etc.)
- Routinely meet with client staff, elected officials, and boards to discuss/develop projects that align with funding opportunities, including screening and prioritizing projects to pursue funding and financing opportunities.
- Manage grant application projects, including coordination of application narratives and benefit-cost analyses, and contribute to grant writing.
- Work as a part of a community of practice to keep updated on policies and procedures per funding program requirements and changes in policy at the federal level, coordinating disclosure requirements and maintaining records.
- Assist with the completion of environmental review records per requirements, including reviewing projects and locations, land use, and other environmental considerations
- Interact with many agencies, including USACE, USFWS, SHPO, USDOT, other local, state, and federal agencies, SRF, EDA, EPA, USDA Rural Development, and CDBG. Etc.
- Coordinate with internal client managers, project managers, and engineers to develop projects/pursuits; work with area client development leads to develop marketing forecasts, client development plans, and internal management opportunities
- Provide professional consultation
- Achieve client satisfaction and meet project budget parameters
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Knowledge of ArcGIS, SQL Server and/or Crystal Reports
- Experience in an A/E/C industry
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- A minimum of 5 years related experience
- Efficient use of the internet and other electronic and hard copy media for research
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Visio skills
- Expert Microsoft Access and Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary level information
- Ability to obtain, cleanse, merge and analyze data from multiple sources
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills
- Self-starter with proven track record of accomplishments
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
