The Opportunity: The Director of Clubhouse Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless and exceptional delivery of services at a prestigious country club. Overseeing the Concierge, Experience & Event Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) team, and the Executive Chef, this position requires a dynamic leader with a commitment to excellence, operational expertise, and a passion for providing an unparalleled member experience. The Director will ensure all clubhouse departments work collaboratively to uphold the club's standards and elevate member satisfaction.

Duties and Functions:

Leadership and Management:



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to all clubhouse departments, including Concierge, Experience & Event Manager, F&B team, and the Executive Chef.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure alignment with the club's vision and objectives.


Member Experience:



  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the overall member experience.
  • Address member feedback and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the Experience & Event Manager to design and execute a diverse calendar of events and activities.


Operational Oversight:



  • Oversee daily operations of the clubhouse, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures across departments.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.


Financial Management:



  • Develop and manage budgets for all clubhouse departments, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor expenses, control costs, and identify revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Analyze financial reports and provide regular updates to senior leadership.


Food & Beverage Excellence:



  • Collaborate with the F&B Manager, Assistant F&B Manager, and Executive Chef to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
  • Ensure consistency in food and beverage standards, service, and presentation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance offerings.


Staff Development:



  • Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and their teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote professional growth and career development opportunities.


Compliance and Safety:



  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff.



Qualification Standards:

Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, club management, or a similar high-end service environment.
  • Proven track record of managing diverse teams and delivering exceptional guest/member experiences.


Skills and Competencies:



  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in relevant software systems, including point-of-sale and event management tools.
