The Opportunity: We are seeking a full time Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our team. This role will perform all aspects of servicing a mortgage loan, from closing until the mortgage is paid and discharged, accurately and timely according to regulatory procedures. What You'll Do: Transfer newly originated mortgage loans to the servicing system of record, ensuring vital loan information such as escrow information and payment arrangements are accurate. Prepare mortgage loans for sale on the secondary market. Prepare Discharge of Mortgage and coordinate discharge with title company. Perform annual escrow analysis. Review, resolve and respond to member inquiries. Prepare and execute modification agreements. Prepare and distribute regulatory forms such as Form 1098, Annual Escrow Analysis, and payoff letters. Maintain a working knowledge of DFCU and secondary market servicing policy. Work with third parties and members to ensure payoffs are generated and processed. Monitor the portfolio to ensure property taxes are paid to prevent lien issues. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Complete compliance training and maintain knowledge of internal compliance policies and procedures. Help facilitate testing for servicing system updates. What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. One year mortgage servicing experience preferred. Understanding of real estate functions, and mortgage investor requirements and guidelines. Experience with FiServ's DNA application preferred. Self-starter, self-directed, articulate, and ability to distill complex information into easily understandable content. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Proficient computer skills. Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication. Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks within a team environment.
