Process Engineer Farr West, UT Job Summary: This person has the primary responsibility to review customer requirements and translate those requirements into work orders. Material requirements and manufacturing instructions following established procedures and work instructions will be defined in these work orders. This person is also responsible to develop the quality plan for each work order. In addition, the position is responsible to prepare cost estimates for incoming customer requests. Essential Functions: Timely completion of quotations, routings, disposition of Non-Conformances, and process work orders within cost estimates. Provide shop support as required. Provide leadership and training when necessary. Duties:
Availability: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. Must be available and willing to work overtime as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Knowledge, Skills: General knowledge of blueprint reading and drafting skill, including basic GD&T. Excellent computer skills with experience in one or more of the following programs: SolidWorks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and ERP Systems. Effective math skills including algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. General knowledge of machining and fabrication processes and capabilities. Experience and Education: Minimum of 10 years related work experience. B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related engineering field preferred. Travel: Must be available and willing to travel as Petersen determines necessary or desirable to meet business needs. Working Conditions: Normally works in an office.
