Position Highlights To provide childcare and activities for children ages 0-5 while their parents are in classes at the Centers. The positions will be located in Nogales, Patagonia and Rio Rico Family Resource Centers. Program sessions are typically 8 weekly sessions throughout the year. This position is on-call.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Care for and interact with children in the Family Resource Center environment while parents are on site which conveys respect and nurturing. Maintaining visibility of all children in their care at all times adhering to safety regulation put forth by the Centers.
  • Provide developmentally appropriate activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving. Developmentally appropriate activities often require the childcare provider to be at the same level as the child or conduct activities on the floor.
  • Attend to the personal hygiene of each child in care including informing parents when their child needs to use the restroom or needs a diaper changed.
  • Assist FRC staff in class and childcare preparation, including cleaning and disinfecting toys and program materials at the end of every shift. Maintain childcare sign in sheets daily. Notify FRC staff of broken toys or if/when program materials need to be replaced or new books ordered.
  • Maintain CPR and first aid certificate and complete annual trainings and staff development as required by Centers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass background check for working with children
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
