Duties & Responsibilities	Removes litter and garbage from landscape areas; removes debris from stairs, walks and bike paths. Plants shrubs, trees, ground covers, and flowers. Installs sod and landscape materials such as boulders, decomposed granite, rock and mulch. Prepares, plants and maintains annual flower beds. Trims, prunes, and shears trees, shrubs and ground covers; rakes and removes debris. Performs minor irrigation activities such as unplugging sprinkler heads and watering trees, shrubs, ground covers, flowers, and lawns. Operates power tools and vehicles used in the landscape industry, such as blowers, mowers, power shears, chain saws, edgers, weed eaters, and rototiller. Drives standard pickups and utility vehicles. Performs minor maintenance on power equipment and vehicles. Physical and Environmental Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Minimum Qualifications	High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required. Must have a valid driver's license upon employment and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications	Experience working for University, School District or City/State Agencies or Parks. State Certified pesticide license. Commercial Drivers License. One year of groundskeeping experience.
