Manufacturing tech role description: Able to meticulously assembling tiny components into finished products using specialized tools and techniques, while adhering to strict quality standards, performing inspections, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the assembly process; essentially, ensuring the precise construction of products with small, intricate parts by following detailed work instructions and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Key responsibilities may include: Precise assembly: Carefully assembling small parts using hand tools, microscopes, and specialized equipment like tweezers, aligning components with high accuracy. Quality control: Performing thorough visual inspections of each component and finished product to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met. Following procedures: Adhering to detailed assembly instructions, work orders, and quality protocols. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving minor assembly issues, reporting any complex problems to the supervisor. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of production data, including component usage and inspection results. Equipment maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining assembly tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Continuous improvement: Suggesting process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Required skills and qualifications: Fine motor skills: Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity for handling small parts with precision. Attention to detail: Ability to consistently identify minute imperfections and ensure accuracy in assembly. Excellent vision: Ability to work with very small parts with no assistance Technical understanding: Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to read technical drawings or assembly instructions. Quality focus: Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and identifying potential defects. Basic computer skills: Familiarity with data entry for recording production information.
