The Opportunity:

Faculty Excellence at UCF seeks applications for a Faculty Information System Analyst. This Faculty Information System Analyst will be responsible for managing the campus-wide faculty information system at UCF, which is currently Interfolio. With an internal title of Faculty Information System Manager, this position reports to the Vice Provost for Faculty Excellence as the leader of our Interfolio Integration Team, involving staff members and faculty fellows, to energetically, proactively, and positively integrate Interfolio into the faculty culture at UCF.

Classification title: Application Systems Analyst I

Responsibilities:



  • Develop campus communication mechanisms and oversee training and support to faculty, administrators, and staff. Translates requirements into technical systems specifications, components, estimates, and projects plans. Manages deliverables and projects documentation and facilitates projects meetings.

  • Responsible for creating, conducting, and disseminating assessments and evaluations of office-related programs such as workshops and events. Review and analyze UCF systems processes and administrative business processes and procedures for re-engineering and automation. Identifies improvement needs.

  • Will work collaboratively with members of Faculty Excellence and the broader campus, particularly OIE, the Office of Information Technology and Academic Affairs Administration. Assures appropriate and prompt solutions to systems and end user issues. Explain facts, policies, and practices related to job area.

  • Will possess significant understanding of faculty organization and administrative leadership and be the leading campus expert on the faculty information system. Performs diagnostics, troubleshoots problems and escalates problems to vendors. Coordinates problems resolution with other team members and UCF support resources.

  • Work closely with supervisors and key stakeholders to determine system effectiveness and demands and should be familiar with information confidentiality standards. Investigate errors, diagnoses problems, documents the problems, tracks issues, and recommend solutions.

  • Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in higher education, with a preference for experience in faculty affairs.

  • Experience in database administration and optimization.

  • Experience working with Interfolio or similar Faculty Information Systems (ex: PeopleAdmin, AcademicWorks, Bluefrog, etc.).

  • Experience in designing and administering assessments, evaluations, and training programs, including training users on how to effectively use the system and manage the database.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to understand faculty and administrative needs.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including faculty and administrators.
