Position Summary

The American Chemical Society is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to support the automation needs of the Society. This role will be on the Marketing Operations, Technology, and Analytics (MOTA) team and provide email, automation, and technology support to a variety of partners across ACS.

Here's what you will be doing:



  • Support the day-to-day operation, configurations, and optimization of Eloqua - ACS's Marketing Automation Platform.
  • Deploy ad-hoc and recurring email campaigns for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Use Eloqua marketing automation to create and execute automated campaigns.
  • Build emails within an email marketing platform using WYSIWYG and HTML editors.
  • Provide technical support in integrating Eloqua with third-party apps/technology.
  • Build emails and landing pages using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Automate key processes and campaigns to maximize ROI from marketing operations, including user journey management, lead scoring, etc.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, IT or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT, web development, or digital marketing experience with a focus on Marketing Automation.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Eloqua (or similar Marketing Automation Platform) is a must.
  • Oracle Eloqua Marketing Certified Implementation Professional certificate is a plus.
  • Basic coding experience is a must (HTML, CSS, Javascript).
  • Strong process orientation: able to analyze requests, determine scope, research options, recommend a solution, execute in collaboration with IT and/or Digital Platforms teams, and measure project success.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
