The NC State Veterinary Hospital is an integrated health care center for companion, equine and farm animals. We exist to further the teaching mission of the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine and to provide state-of-the-art patient care. Essential Job Duties |
The primary responsibility of this clinician will be to assist in the provision of clinical radiology services and instruction within the Veterinary Hospital and the College.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing sonographic exams/sonographic guided sample collection of hospital patients with generation of verbal and written reports as requested
- Playing a key role with the radiology team in reading all radiographic, CT, and MRI images in order to keep up with the demands of the clinical operation while preventing a backlog of reading images that might necessitate external sendouts to Idexx
- Supervising and training of residents in veterinary radiology, overseeing and finalizing resident reports generated in the Radiology Information System in a timely manner, and conducting student rounds when scheduled.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
DVM or equivalent degree, ACVR eligible, and eligibility for veterinary licensure (or faculty licensure) in the State of NC.

Candidate must be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about:
- Radiology
- Communication with clinicians on the receiving services
- Teaching both residents and students
