Role and Responsibilities:

The Lead Floor Technician ensures floors and baseboards are maintained to provide a safe and hazard-free environment.



  • Operate floor care machinery (buffers, scrubbers) and perform cleaning tasks including dust mopping, mopping, stripping, refinishing, carpet extraction, and bonneting.
  • Carry out regular floor care activities such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, sealing, and carpet cleaning using approved methods and chemicals.
  • Address and clean carpet stains as needed.
  • Secure work areas with safety barricades, report defective equipment, and transport broken items for repair.
  • Maintain inventory, manage parts, and perform equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Introduce yourself to customers, provide safety instructions, and ensure the area is left clean and safe.
  • Work with the supervisor to prioritize tasks, handle assignments, and contribute to team efforts. Assist with supply deliveries and storage.
  • Follow safety procedures, read and understand chemical labels, and complete all assigned tasks.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of (1) year experience Janitorial or Custodian experience.
  • Minimum of (1) year experience in commercial floor care (Preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
