Community Development Specialist 1

Hours for this position are: Monday - Friday, 8-hour schedule between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Role

This role focuses on developing and implementing community programs to enhance the CAMPUS Foundation and brand awareness. Responsibilities include managing corporate sponsorships and fostering relationships with community leaders, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, and business associations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Exemplifies the core values of CAMPUS while supporting our strategic priorities for members, employees, and community. Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
• Work together with marketing to effectively promote financial education, community development initiatives, and campaigns. This includes staffing, preparation, materials, post-event reporting, and follow-up
• Conduct presentations on CAMPUS products, services, financial education, and wellness; participates in community events to strengthen the credit union's image and relationships
• Establish and nurture relationships with organizations, including tracking and reporting in-kind, monetary, or physical support for community partners and events to the VP of Marketing
• Effectively communicate with branches, departments, staff, and management teams to ensure heightened awareness of special events, community development, and financial education outreach efforts

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (BS or BA equivalent in relevant field)
• Or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions may be substituted

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position involves frequent lifting, carrying, and sorting items weighing up to 20 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver's license. This position frequently requires using a company vehicle around town and on the interstate
