Who we are and what we do:

TennCare is Tennessee's managed care Medicaid program that provides health insurance coverage to certain groups of low-income individuals such as pregnant women, children, caretaker relatives of young children, older adults, and adults with physical disabilities. TennCare provides coverage for approximately 1.7 million Tennesseans and operates with an annual budget of approximately $14 billion. It is run by the Division of TennCare with oversight and some funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Job Overview:

Information Systems Operations team is responsible for managing and tracking software, hardware license procurement, SSL certs, OS patching, Infrastructure cost within the Tenncare domain. This position provides an oversight over all of the areas and collaborates with cross-functional groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Software and Hardware licensing procurement in ServiceNow and ensure that the licenses are procured on-time.
  • Track and Manage software purchases through the procurement process in ServiceNow, including coordinating with other teams where needed, and ensuring statuses and estimated times of completion are available and communicated to management and vendors on a regular basis.
  • Manage the tracking and timely renewals of all SSL certificates for TennCare Systems. Ensure status and certificate expiration date is kept up to date.
  • Provide Oversight on OS Patching using OS Patching reports and ensure the vendors address any discrepancy.
  • Review N-1 reports and ensure vendor's have a plan of action to be compliant and track to its completion.
  • Audit and track monthly utilization and cost metrics for on-premise and cloud based infrastructure assets. Ensure cost/utilization reports are shared with Management on a regular basis.
  • Share KPI's for the area of responsibility with Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Information Systems Experience.
  • Excellent communication skills required including the ability to communicate with upper management and cross-functional teams on complex technical topics.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with Service Now
  • Experience working with and communicating with cross-functional groups (Architecture, Development, QA/Testing, Production Support, Systems Administration)
