- Managing assigned projects related to assessing software and customized application solutions
- Analyzing and reviewing requests for new applications and researching market data
- Developing applications using N-Tier development tools consistent with project specifications and agreed upon requirements, deadlines and current firm systems and standards
- Testing applications and preparing training materials and documentation
- Identifying, researching and resolving application-related issues
- Recommending changes to improve performance of existing applications to meet integration requirements
- Testing software and review changes; documenting modifications and notifying affected department personnel
- Implementing system application and ensuring compliance with department change management policies and procedures
- Analyzing escalated problems via the Service Desk staff and troubleshooting through to resolution
- Recommending/providing solutions to correct application issues/problems in a timely manner
- Submitting Change Request System (CRS) outlining a detailed plan of a change to firm's computer environment
The successful candidate will demonstrate...
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of four years N-Tier development experience with Microsoft development platforms
- Advanced-level knowledge of firm-supported applications, including Microsoft applications
- Project management experience; ability to prepare comprehensive project plans or models
- Ability to manage technical projects with minimal direction from inception to completion, including evaluating and developing related support plans
- Experience developing solutions in Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies
- Experience using front-end technologies (Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML) to build custom interfaces
- Experience developing Web Services and Web API; experience using Microsoft Visual Studio; experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus
- Experienced in developing C# and IIS
- Working effectively in and fostering highly collaborative, team-oriented environments
- Strong focus on client service and responsiveness and strong communications skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
Pay Range for Candidates in Baltimore: $86,000 - $130,000 per year The range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
