Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 432 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities Makes and schedules appointment for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner. Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures. Coordinates day surgeries within main surgery department. Maintain productivity logs for department director. Qualifications Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Job Requirements Two to Three years of work experience in a medical office setting preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical/procedural scheduling preferred
