What's involved in this role:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Tech in Lake Norden, South Dakota.

• Assist in all aspects of the plant's quality functions in compliance with plant and corporate level standard operating procedures (SOPs), good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and company safety policies.

• Acquire and maintain all documents necessary for regulatory compliance including HACCP/Food Safety documentation.

• Conduct routine Quality Inspections related to food production and/or ingredients for finished product quality, regulatory compliance, pest control, routine sanitation, employee GMPs, training compliance, foreign material control, and HACCP/Food Safety compliance.

• 2-2-3 schedule

• Starting hourly pay at $21.86

• $1.50 night differential pay between the hours of 6pm-6am

• Monthly rotating position between days and nights: 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am

• Holiday pay and Double time on Sundays

What you need to join our team:

• Willingness to learn and work as a team

• Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.

• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.

• Our Lake Norden, SD, plant is home to approximately 445 employees and boasts a brand new, state of the art cheese and whey facility. We produce mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano, asiago, and Monterey Jack cheeses as well as various whey streams.
