Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a candidate to fill a full-time Project Pursuit Consultant position in our Jacksonville, FL office.

This graphic designer based role will assist in creating visuals for Hanson's varied project communications vehicles including conference materials, video and print publications.

Position Profile

We are looking for a graphic designer with a passion for creativity, quality and innovation to join a dynamic team of creative minds who are interested in new ways of communicating ideas. The design professional we seek will be involved in all phases of design - from initial concept through completion. Responsibilities range from conceptualizing to digital design and layout, print collateral, photo manipulation and beyond. Our ideal candidate is someone with an interest in visual communication who's a superstar and is comfortable working solo "in the zone" as well as in a brainstorming group or creative session. He or she works efficiently in a deadline driven environment, is highly organized and strives for detailed, polished results every time.

A Day in Life of a Project Pursuit Consultant at Hanson

You will take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media. Collaborating with multiple teams at our company, you will take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects.

You will be designing a wide variety of projects across digital and print media. To be successful in this position, you'll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail.

Here's a snapshot of what you would do in this role:

  • Planning composing and producing visual concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
  • Coordinating with outside agencies, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  • Communicating with clients about layout and design.
  • Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for project illustrations, conference materials, and websites.
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

What We're Looking For

We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong to advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and/or After Effects)
  • Experience with Acrobat and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Web design experience is a plus
  • Strong visual communications skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and data through images

Soft Skills:

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate technical concepts to engineers, clients, and public stakeholders
  • Must be able to build effective relationships with internal and external client bases
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member to problem solve and learn new technical skills
  • Interest in experiencing a variety of assignments is important
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree+ in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
  • 10 years' experience in similar role

This is a part-time as needed role.

Salary range for this position is $30 - $50 per hour.
