The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, community health systems development, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. The center is at work locally, nationally, and internationally with public and private partners to improve health and well-being.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Health Equity Scholar will advise and contribute to the learning and publication systems associated with a statewide health equity initiative. In partnership with the project team, funders, and participating communities, the Scholar will serve as the strategist and project manager of the research-to-publication pipeline for the initiative.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Establishes a design and plan to implement the data system that gathers data and information from the health opportunity pilot program and the community of practice with input from staff, project partners, and community members.
  • Leads the analyses of data from multiple providers (i.e., descriptive analyses, trended reports, statistical analyses).
  • Develops and manages the evaluation of the equity initiative, including assuring the rigor of data compliance, evaluation methods, and research.
  • Writes project reports, briefing papers, policy white papers, technical tools, infographics, posters and oral presentations, and peer-reviewed research articles.
  • Hires and facilitates the engaged scholarship of a high-performing staff team to conduct the data and learning strategy.
  • Mentors internal staff and provide supervision, career development, and support within or outside the project or competence area (direct reports and/or project teams).
  • Build new and maintain existing relationships with external clients and partners by developing strategic relationship goals and objectives and coordinating engaged scholarship.
  • Facilitate meetings, including the development of meeting goals and objectives, meeting announcements and materials, and reports meeting results

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Hiring Qualifications:



  • Five years of experience in project management.
  • The ideal candidate should have significant evaluation and/or technical assistance expertise and experience managing projects and teams where health systems change is a focus.
