Responsibilities:
- Comply with all written and verbal safety rules
- Understand all charting order instructions and arrange packaging supplies and boxes as per charting instructions
- Pack and wrap finish goods as per procedure / charting instructions
- Print / attach pallet labels as per the order and move pallets to the designated location
- Assist Operator during Line Startup & Shutdown
- Use hand tools such as pallet jack
- Troubleshoot all areas of packing / winder operation
- Follow established quality guidelines to produce a product that meets criteria.
- Closely monitor all film for conformance to specifications.
- Insure that quality issues are resolved and communicated quickly and effectively, to minimize negative impact.
- Maintain high level of housekeeping
- Attend monthly safety meeting
- Follow instructions from Supervisor or Shift Lead
- Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.
- Knowledge of all working departments in the manufacturing facility
Essential Job Functions and Abilities:
- Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands.
- Must be able to see in low light conditions, hear, and speak clearly.
- Ability to stand and change positions frequently over a twelve-hour period.
- Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and or legs.
- Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects. (frequently)
- Ability to work in environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.
