Summary:
The Vocational Services Employment Specialist III role is responsible for the career placement and development of employment opportunities for people with disabilities by researching potential employment and training sources, evaluating opportunities and natural supports, and achieving client job placements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Requires a professional level of knowledge in vocational counseling with individuals with developmental and/or psychiatric disabilities. Must be able to evaluate employment capabilities of program participants at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or related field.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Six months of relevant experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
