Summary

Summary:
The Lead Histotechnologist role is responsible for problem resolution, training of new and existing staff, daily workflow and equipment maintenance. This role functions as a team leader and performs technical procedures resulting in the creation of microscopic slide preparation and is responsible for evaluating, preparing and maintaining these procedures.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree required
  2. License/Certifications: Certification as a Histotechnologist by a recognized professional organization (ASCP/National Society for Histotechnology) required within six months of start date. QIHC (Qualification in Immunohistochemistry) preferred. Valid Driver's License required.
  3. Experience: Two years of Histology experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
