Summary:
We are seeking a Logistics Continuous Improvement (CI) Automation Intern to assist in improving processes and systems within our logistics operations. This role will focus on supporting continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating current and proposed systems, and implementing changes that will optimize efficiency and drive long-term benefits. As an intern, you will contribute to a variety of tasks, assist in the development and execution of improvement projects, and work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in CI automation within logistics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving the improvement of processes and systems, contributing to programs with long-term benefits for the organization.
  • Support the development of plans, schedules, and budgets for projects aimed at improving existing processes.
  • Collaborate with continuous improvement experts and change agents, contributing to their work and supporting project implementation.
  • Monitor existing processes to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide support for enterprise-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Skill and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous exposure to process improvement in any capacity is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to build models for holding costs and optimal quantities is a plus, but not required.

Pay Range: $23-$27/hr

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
