Description
Health Aides work under the direct supervision of the Health and Nutrition Manager to support the health and well-being of enrolled children and pregnant women. Key responsibilities include:
- Requesting and managing health records for enrolled children and pregnant women.
- Entering and maintaining up-to-date data in the tracking system, including records related to well-child care visits, immunizations, hearing, vision, nutrition, oral/dental health, and ongoing specialized healthcare needs.
- Retrieving immunization records for enrolled children and those on the waiting list from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR) while adhering to strict confidentiality policies.
- Assisting parents in obtaining electronic immunization cards.
- Collaborating with parents to gather health status information for their children and facilitating follow-up healthcare appointments.
- Providing health education and training to program participants.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Effective communication and a commitment to supporting families in achieving positive health outcomes are essential.
Salary Range: $26.10 - 49.38 Hourly

- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Units in child development or health-related field. Knowledge of program philosophy, goals, principles, objectives, and requirements; Early Head Start policies and procedures; understanding of child development principles with an emphasis on infant/toddler developmental stages and nurturing concepts; prenatal development and appropriate health care during pregnancy; family dynamics, cultural beliefs; advocacy and intervention concepts; crisis management, community resources and referral; processes and functions of social service agencies.
