Description The Bioinformatics Programmer II provides support with work involving computational theory into practice and has in-depth understanding of IT related diverse research
application areas. You will need to utilize computational, computer science, data science, and CI software research and development
principles with relevant scientific knowledge, along with professional programming concepts for research projects. You will conduct a variety
of computational, data science, and CI research tools and components. The Bioinformatics Programmer II performs research on current and future HPC, data, and CI
technologies, hardware and software. You will also work on algorithm development, optimization, programming, and computer science research.
Salary Range: $36.49 - $76.05/Hourly
Qualifications All Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer / Computational / Data Science, or Domain Sciences with
    computer / computational / data specialization or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in computation science, data science, statistics, or related field,
    with computer, computational, and/or data management experience.
  • Moderate knowledge of basic and multivariate statistics.
  • Demonstrated experience associated with one or more of the following: HPC hardware
    and software power and performance analysis and research, design, modification,
    Implementation and deployment of HPC or data science or CI applications and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to regularly interface with management.
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively
    and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to
    communicate technical information to technical and non- technical personnel at various
    levels in the organization.
  • Proven ability to successfully work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff;
    technical, students, faculty and administrators.
