Position Summary |
The University of Georgia is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Compensation Analyst in the Compensation Department of UGA's Office of Human Resources.
This is a highly responsible position and will collaborate with team members to provide efficient and effective HR services to the university community, in addition to interpreting policies, procedures, laws, and regulations for departments university-wide. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent interpersonal skills that foster integrity, critical thinking, outstanding operational performance and a genuine interest in providing a service oriented approach to the compensation review process. |

Review and make determinations on salary exceptions received from departments across campus.
* Review and adhere to
UGA and
USG salary guidelines
* Communicate with departments regarding the salary review process, status and recommendations.
* Maintain a log of salary requests received
* Modify data queries and pull related salary information for internal comparisons
* Access HR aggregate survey database and identify position matches for external comparisons
* Analyze salary data (percentiles, standard deviation, etc.) and assess the appropriateness of fit for the amount requested
* Contact department HR representatives for additional information as needed
* Work closely with HR's Position Management team when reviewing salary increases accompanied by permanent changes in job responsibilities, duties, and/or tasks
* As needed, work closely with HR's Employment team when reviewing salary increases for candidates who have applied to an advertised vacancy (e.g. confirming minimum qualifications)
* Inform departments of a final salary determination
* As needed, attach approved forms in position management system (PeopleAdmin) to satisfy
