Telemetry Technician-6th Floor Telemetry-West Valley

Telemetry techmonitors cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment. Interprets basic cardiac rhythms, common dysrhythmia and monitor mechanical malfunctions Run monitor strips every four hours and measures and documents the PR, the QRS, and the QT interval. Posts strips on the chart every four hours. Assumes secretarial duties and answers phones. Notifies the RN of any arrythmias and cardiac changes. Will demonstrate patient advocacy as it relates to patient rights, confidentiality, and privacy. Assume accountability for work performed. Follow all hospital and department standards. Maintains knowledge and skills of tasks/functions related to practice, applicable standards of care and standards of practice. Demonstrate appropriate behavior in critical situations.

Salary Range: $25.30-33.35

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:

• EKG certificate or certification, highly preferred
• BLS
  from the ARC or AHAand California Fire Safety Card, required
• Previous telemetry tech experience, highly desired.
