The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Position Summary
This is administrative and managerial work in Food Services. This person is responsible for directing and leading a food service team in providing for the food services needs of customers in all food venues at the Georgia Center which includes; catering, banquets, restaurant, bar, cafe and conference breaks, meal plan operations, and other tasks as assigned. Activities and decisions are varied in nature, involving the solving of both common and unusual problems. The food director supports the mission of the Georgia Center and will partner with Conference & Event planning, Sales, Marcom and Hotel to generate revenue for the Center. This person will be proactive in planning, improving services, programs, and processes, able to work with computers including various supportive technological tools for food & hospitality industry, and be a strong leader with excellent managerial skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Skilled in managerial, time management, financial analysis, forecasting, Profit/Loss, basic marketing skills, basic accounting/budget skills, customer service. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, delegate and follow-up. Ability to communicate effectively.

Oversees payroll, accounts payable, and sales data
Hires new employees
Plans, and coordinates training activities for all phases pertinent to Food Service Operations
Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing policies, procedures and operational changes in the food service area
