Structural Fitter

Pay: $18/hr

Shift: 2nd shift

As a Structural Fitter, you'll use advanced welding techniques to fit structural frameworks from materials such as angle iron, I-beams, and steel plates, following blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Follow safety procedures.
• Fit structural frameworks per layouts, drawings, or work orders.
• Read blueprints and identify material sizes.
• Position, align, and secure parts before assembly.
• Cut, bevel, and contour metal plates.
• Use tools like calipers to check measurements.
• Perform tacking, burning, and welding.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of structural fitting experience.
• Ability to work independently with advanced fitting skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Work in a shop environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and debris.
• Physical demands include standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
