Director Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs
Overview Directs the implementation, maintenance, and administration of all quality assurance and compliance programs, in order to maintain the organization's objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. Provides direction in accordance with regulatory agency requirements and the organization's policies and procedures. *This position can be based in Tallahassee, St Pete, Orlando, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale or Charlotte, NC* Responsibilities The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the duties and responsibilities performed within this classification. Directs, manages, and monitors the Quality & Regulatory Affairs department to ensure all activities are in compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in medical technology, healthcare, chemistry, biology, biotechnology or related field from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred. Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible management experience in quality & regulatory affairs, preferably in a blood bank environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS: Florida Supervisor's license in Immunohematology, SBB and ASQ certification preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Functions are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances.
