The Compensation Analyst works under the direct supervision of the Compensation Manager, provides analytical and technical position management support to the Unit and also provides other administrative support functions. As a critical point of contact for the Unit, will work closely with Unit members, Department Managers, Supervisors, UCD leadership staff, and UC System-wide personnel to provide valuable resource information and assistance. In addition, will collaborate with other HR professionals on process improvement projects and other initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a human resource or business-related environment with human resources information systems.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), case management tools and other relevant software programs to perform data retrieval and manipulation.
- Administrative and analytical skills to research, conduct analysis, collect data, assist to develop, and produce reports, and provide recommendations to changes in operational processes for greater efficiencies and administrative effectiveness.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the compensation/classification function, thorough understanding of concepts, and general knowledge of other areas of Human Resources.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to interface professionally with a wide range of customers (managers, employees, union representatives, and other HR professionals) to communicate facts, technical and complex information, recommendations, and to collaborate on projects and programs.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using various HR Compensation related information systems such as PeopleSoft, Sales Force, OnBase, Tableau, etc.
- Demonstrated familiarity and experience to apply relevant human resource compensation and classification theory and concepts.
- Ability to adhere to all established Unit, Department, and University policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
