Responsibilities

Position Overview:
The Junior Program Financial Analyst will provide financial support and analysis for federal programs, assisting with budget tracking, reporting, and compliance monitoring. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in financial analysis within the government contracting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

    Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting for federal programs.
  • Track and monitor program costs, expenditures, and revenue alignment with contract budgets.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to Program Managers.
  • Maintain financial models, burn rate analysis, and funding projections.
  • Assist with invoice preparation, contract modifications, and financial reconciliations.
  • Work closely with senior analysts, program managers, and finance teams to ensure compliance with FAR and federal regulations.
  • Support audits and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in financial analysis, preferably in government contracting.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP, FAR, and federal financial regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Clearance: US Citizenship required.

Location: Position is remote but may require occasional paid travel to customer site(s) and/or REI office facilities in Sterling, VA.
