Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (
OIPEP) serves as a liaison between the participating
OIPEP Schools, University partners, and agencies and professional organizations at the state and national level. The goal of
OIPEP is to oversee the creation, implementation, and dissemination of interprofessional education, research, and clinical experiences designed to enhance collaborative learning across the
UNC system. The Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice is searching for an energetic, team-oriented individual to manage administrative duties and provide program coordination for interprofessional education and experiential learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
Position Summary |
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy.
UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The program coordinator will focus primarily on supporting the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (
OIPEP), and may have other program coordinator duties across the larger unit of Interprofessional Health Initiative. This position will serve as the project coordinator for multiple community and academic partners. They will collaborate with the Associate Provost, Director of Special Programs, and faculty members to support faculty, students, and community partners; managing logistics that support sustainable events and programs and supporting the growth and sustainability of interprofessional initiatives at
UNC. They are responsible for the coordination of interprofessional students and logistics for course, events, and faculty support. This position will plan, coordinate, administer, and monitor activities including but not limited to sending regular communication to faculty partners and student participants, Canvas and classroom management, room reservations, roster creation and management, and summarizing evaluation materials. The program coordinator reports to the Director of Special Programs. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

-Experience managing projects, timelines/deadlines and budgets
-Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
-Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
-Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
-Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
-Commitment to honest communication, integrity and ethical behavior
-Ability to set and achieve goals in a fast -paced, collaborative environment |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
-Experience with community engagement and project management, with an emphasis in managing multiple stakeholders
-Experience within the healthcare, academic, or community setting is preferred. |
