Description

Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring deliveries and transfers of goods from our warehouse to internal and external customers. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, and assisting team members to load and unload goods that are delivered. This position is designed to have off duty time from driving and will have responsibilities in the warehouse that require a forklift license and crane certification.

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Operates truck and performs job duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Performs deliveries to outlying locations and/or vendors.
  • Completes proper documentation for internal and external customers.
  • Conducts pre-trip/post trip inspections and completes logs.
  • Maintains and updates drivers log sheets. (when required)
  • Professional interaction with co-workers, internal and external customers.
  • May assist in other projects or areas as needed.
  • Maintenance of facility grounds, and surrounding areas.
  • Operate various hand-held manual, electrical and gas-powered tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with the organization and distribution of waste carts and bins including stickering and labeling.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Ability to read and understand a map.
  • Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
  • General knowledge of mechanics vehicles.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.



Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:



  • Continuously lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20lbs. Frequently up to 35lbs.
  • Continuously working outside in changing temperature, wet/humid conditions.
  • Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, other airborne matter.
  • Continuously sitting/standing/walking in office environment.



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
  • Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
