Kamatics, a division of Kaman, specializes in self-lubricating bearings and engineered products. We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Production Tool Op. II to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on first shift. The core hours for the position are 7:00am to 3:30pm and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, offered at the front end of the shift for a required 45 hours a week. Overtime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 in a week.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.

Responsibilities:



  • With readily available supervision, operates alternately more than one type of production machine tool such as grinders, honers, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, etc. on routine and repetitive operations.
  • Checks parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follow work procedures.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.



Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:



  • 1 - 2 years manufacturing experience.
  • Basic mathematics.
  • Able to read and follow visual instructions.
