Booker Heights, FL Pay From: $54 per hour MUST: Experienced Nurse Practitioner - Infusion 2 years of professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant 1 plus years of professional experience with infusions Demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of patient care Committed to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations Exceptional active listening skills Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent IV skills Ability to integrate clinical judgement skills into decision-making Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with patients, providers, and coworkers Ability to demonstrate workstyle flexibility and teamwork, including being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Knowledge and proficiency with standard office software applications including Microsoft Office Suite Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license for FL Board certified by ANCC or AANP BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date Completion of Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing program; Over 2 years, up to and including 4 years DUTIES: Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history Provide onsite supervision for all patients Prepare patients for infusion or injection Assess and document the health status of the patient Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record Assess and document the health status of the patient Keep the environment clean and disinfected after each patient use Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies Assist with audits and regulatory functions, as needed Assist with annual staff review process including skill competency assessments Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects Work collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure the highest level of patient care Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care Work at multiple centers / facilities within a market as needed Other duties as assigned |
