Application Analyst II/Cognos Report Writer Information Technology REQUISITION #604432085 University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) at Sacramento State is seeking an Application Analyst II/Cognos Report Writer for the Information Technology Department. The Information Technology (IT) department supports the technological and infrastructure needs of University Enterprises, Inc. In support of UEI’s mission and goals, IT provides data security, cost-effective access to technology, and assistance and advice in its use. As part of our high-level service, we administer end user technical support, server and operations management, IT governance and project management, network hardware and software support, financial system support, information security, strategic initiatives and planning, and computer training. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Application Systems Analyst II/Cognos Report Writer plays a critical role in supporting the overall business strategies of University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) through the evaluation of business processes, user needs analysis, and report development. They will collaborate closely with our customers and other Application Analysts to understand requirements, develop, or modify systems and reports, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and security. This position requires extensive knowledge of Cognos, including but not limited to report development/conversion, interfaces, automation, and security. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The position reports directly to and receives general direction from the Assistant Manager, Information Technology. The specific duties and responsibilities are as follows:
