General Assignment Reporter Wanted Immediately! The Rawlins Times, a bi-weekly newspaper covering a large county in Rawlins, Wyoming, is seeking a creative and energetic general news assignment reporter to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and organization and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate should also possess a strong willingness to work in a team-focused environment and have the ability to build relationships with sources inside the local Rawlins and surrounding communities. The successful applicant’s main duties will include covering local events throughout the county and writing feature stories. As a reporter, you’ll work the occasional evening or weekend. But you’ll also get to see things most people don’t get to see. The reporter will meet and interview important people. The person can enjoy the beauty of the Wyoming Plains. Posting on our website and social media is expected. Photography experience is highly valued but not required; we can train as needed.
