About the Hanover College Nursing Program Hanover College and Ivy Tech Community College have collaborated to develop a unique initiative, the first of its kind in Indiana. Through the Hanover College and Ivy Tech Community College 1+2+1 partnership, nursing students have a distinct advantage with the ability to take their licensure exam after their junior year. This innovative approach allows students to become registered nurses (RNs) while they continue to pursue their Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nursing (BSN) during their senior year. The program has seen strong enrollment and represents a significant advancement in nursing education within the state. By passing the licensure exam early, students can gain invaluable hands-on experience working as RNs, applying their knowledge in real-world healthcare settings even before they graduate. This dual-track system not only enhances their practical skills but also gives them a competitive edge in the job market upon completing their degree. Balancing clinical work with academic studies, students are well-prepared to transition seamlessly into professional nursing roles, equipped with both the theoretical foundation and practical expertise needed for a successful career in nursing.
