The Position

The Business Manager will partner with various leadership teams within the gRED Translational Medicine organization and serves as a strategic thought partner to help drive functional short-term and long-term business planning, strategy development and execution. This role reports into the Chief of Staff. The Opportunity: As a valuable member on the Translational Medicine team you will be:
Partnering with functional leaders (D/VP level) to independently drive results/outcomes and facilitate strategic decision making Managing and facilitates leadership /project team meetings, including external partner meetings Leading in meeting agenda preparation, organization of meetings, and generation of minutes. Serving as a thought partner for goal setting and partner with teams to drive functional short-to-long-term business planning, strategy development, and execution Supporting business planning, such as budget review, resource forecasting, goals review, etc Supporting staff focused functional activities such as offsite planning, recognition events. Embracing an enterprise mindset and is able to articulately connect functional activities to the broader organizational context. Maintaining a strong focus on people development and engagement. Facilitates planning and execution of activities that delivers on staff development and enhances engagement Anticipating needs of leadership team and prompts actions and conversations that enhances team success Balancing needs of function and needs of overall organization Problem solving by leveraging understanding of business and functional relationships to activate right people and solutions Spending time connecting individuals and teams within function, across functions and across organizations Advising on functional priorities within the context of enabling larger organizational success Advising on new approaches to address organizational needs and complex challenges within TM and broader organization

Experience in managing organizational cross-functional initiatives and/or business operations programs Ability to develop and execute on change management and communication strategies Experience in clinical development preferred Broad organizational and business knowledge Persons without formal degree who have comparable depth and breadth of training and experience and who meet job-specific criteria are eligible for consideration Business or project management coursework or additional supportive training desired (e.g. PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, Agile methodology, etc.)
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California for Senior Business Manager is $144,000- $267,400.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
