Responsibilities The tenure-line faculty member will teach undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students in TEELP and/or LLSS in accordance with the departments approved workload policy. Other responsibilities include developing an active research agenda, advising masters and doctoral; chairing and/or serving on inquiry projects, masters exams, theses, and doctoral dissertation committees; serving on department and university committees; and contributing to program partnerships and initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited university in Reading/Literacy Education, English Education, language literacy, and sociocultural studies with specialization in literacy, and/or a closely related field. All requirements for the doctorate must have been completed by the time of the start date of the appointment . Minimum of three years of successful experience as a Secondary educator (6-12) in urban, rural, or high-need districts. Evidence of research in the area of Secondary Reading/Literacy education, or related field. Certification in or willingness to be trained in the science of reading (or a reading endorsement). Experience with a variety of course delivery methods. Preferred Qualifications
