This position, under the direction of the Executive Director, supervises and manages the Regulatory Programs Division. The position includes but is not limited to being responsible for the leadership and management of the Division, including budget and personnel matters. Reviews and signs permits, orders, variances, notices of completion and incompletion, and non-jurisdictional determinations per the NYS Adirondack Park Agency Act and associated regulations. Acts as liaison for Agency with local, regional, State and federal agencies and Agency Board members on regulatory matters. Oversees development of guidelines relating to project review and makes recommendations for regulatory changes. Salary range: $123,793-$156,224 based on education and experience. The APA is a New York State governmental agency with an eleven-member board, and a 54-person staff. The Board meets monthly to act on Park policy issues and permit applications.
