Key Responsibilities: Follow all Red Shirt Service guidelines Greet each customer as they approach the meat department Process each customer order with proper quantities, quality and price Promote product through selling sessions and suggestive selling Utilize correct procedures for credit returns and exchanges Assist customers with specific requests Assist Meat Manager in monitoring operations to ensure sales & profit are being generated Cut/grind all meat properly; in the manner and quality that meets Boyer’s expectations Follow proper procedures as trained Follow instructions given to completion Assure that cases are full, clean, and attractive and rotates products Code date product and remove all outdated product or product unfit for sale Set all cases and displays as per instructions Reduce shrink and avoid unnecessary waste Complete next day preparation Assure proper sanitation and organization of department Assure proper food handling and labeling procedures Follow all department cleaning and sanitation procedures Follow all department food handling procedures Follow all store & department policies stated in the teammate handbook/other manuals Perform additional duties as assigned by management Essential Minimum Qualifications/Skills Reading Basic math skills Basic writing skills Sense of smell Visual clarity Ability to differentiate color, shape, and size Good Telephone and intercom etiquette Ability to follow verbal and written directions Ability to work safely Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with teammates and customers Equipment Operation (included but not limited to): Cardboard Bailer Saw Cuber U-boat Grinder Calculator Hand Wrapper Shopping Cart Box Cutter L-Cart Scale Label Machine Pricing Gun Knives Cleaning Utensils Telephone Intercom APPLY NOW Email your resume to rkobrick@boyersfood.com or apply online at https://www.boyersfood.com/careers.php Join our thriving grocery business!
