Research Assistant or Associate Professor, Adolescent Medicine The Division of Adolescent and Transition Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is seeking an adolescent medicine researcher to join a diverse, talented, multidisciplinary team of individuals who share a passion and commitment to transforming adolescent health outcomes through exceptional clinical programs, high-impact clinical and translational research, innovative educational programs, and effective academic and community partnerships. We are seeking individuals who are highly professional and who foster a culture of inclusion. - The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Cincinnati Children's was founded in 1960 and has a distinguished history of breakthrough research, outstanding clinical programs, and advocacy. Our vision is "One team, one vision: Every adolescent healthy and thriving," reflecting our commitment to work collaboratively to ensure health and health equity, and to take a holistic approach to adolescent health and well-being. The division has a large, internationally recognized, well-funded research program, with 50% of faculty holding external research funding. We are expanding our existing research focus in HIV prevention, HPV and other vaccines (including COVID-19 vaccines), STI diagnostics, transgender health, and eating disorders, and establishing a new focus area in substance use disorder. - Clinical programs include a hospital-based primary care practice and a consultative practice focusing on all adolescent health issues including eating disorders, mental health disorders, transgender care, LGBTQ+ health, HIV care, sexual and reproductive health, and substance use disorders. Faculty also provide care at the city's juvenile detention center. A program in young men's health will be launched soon. Many educational opportunities are available, starting at the middle school and high school level with pipeline programs and encompassing medical student, resident, and fellowship training programs. - At Cincinnati Children's, our vision is to be the leader in child health. If an MD or DO, candidates should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, and ideally would be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adolescent Medicine. We are seeking a candidate to be appointed to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. An Associate Professor candidate should have a track record of funded research in one of the following areas: HIV prevention, adolescent vaccines, STI diagnostics, transgender health, or eating disorders. Assistant Professor candidates should have a research focus in one of the aforementioned areas. The faculty member would receive a competitive research support and resource package designed to ensure career success. The faculty member would also be expected to help mentor trainees and junior faculty.
